Mr. E

He was wearing an olive North Face fleece and a light yellow polo. While munching on a muffin top and gulping his coffee, Mr. E told me between spews of muffin bits that he meets God and the other guy, Satan, everyday, that he's a Holocaust survivor and war veteran, that the Jewish faith is different from many others because of its emphasis on life on Earth rather than the afterlife, that he believes in the oneness of God, and that he meets God in the form of rules and laws, when God tells him what he should or shouldn't be doing.
As Mr. E drove off in a silver sedan, I started to think about how God can take things like a muffin top, a cup of coffee, and a certain Mr. E spewing muffin bits and tell me that He meets us everyday, not in the form of rules and laws but in love, that His heart breaks for people like Mr. E, and that my heart ought to also.
